Manchester United boss, Louis van
Gaal, has revealed his ambition to build his side into world beaters.
The Red Devils had a slow start
under the Dutchman but they have shown gradual improvement and are unbeaten in
their last 11 matches in all competitions.
United have also closed the gap on
leaders Chelsea and Manchester City in the Premier League summit to nine points.
However, Van Gaal is determined to
make his team the best there is in the world, and feels that his side could
dominate the Premier League in the near future.
The 63-year old told reporters: “My
ambition is that I have the best players who can cooperate with each other to
form the best team of the world. No one club in the Premier League shall win
every game, but maybe Manchester United can.
“That’s always our goal, but it also
the goal of Jose Mourinho and also the goal of other managers – [Manuel]
Pellegrini or [Ronald] Koeman or [Arsene] Wenger for example.”
United look to extend their unbeaten
run when they host high flying Southampton on Sunday in the Premier League.
